Health & Safety Policy Statement

1.0 Policy Statement Outline

The King’s Cross Group LP and its subsidiary companies, (together “The King’s Cross Group”) will be a force for good in the lives of our staff, supply chain, customers, residents and visitors as an Employer, Property Owner, Property Developer and Asset Manager.

The King’s Cross Group is committed to improving Health & Safety (“H&S”) performance and capability through 3 key approaches:

  • Showing leadership – as head of the supply chain and making high H&S standards an attractive proposition for its investors;
  • Innovation in our Projects and Assets – using technology and great design to push boundaries and not relying on minimum legal compliance; and
  • Raising the bar on H&S – being a demanding customer and construction client, rewarding high performance and innovation in H&S.

2.0 Leadership responsibilities

The Directors of The King’s Cross Group GP Limited (“KCGGP”) are ultimately accountable for the H&S performance of KCGGP. To allow effective day-to-day management, all heads of department are responsible for delivering high H&S performance for the assets and teams they are leading.

The key elements in managing H&S daily are:

  • The Directors give a high level of trust and training to KCGGP employees to allow good H&S decisions;
  • Provide sufficient resources and expertise to support high H&S performance;
  • Sharing knowledge and experiences, collaborating across teams and transferring good H&S practice from one project to another;
  • Having candid and open collaboration with all partners and sharing in the risk and opportunities on H&S;
  • Actively listening to employee, customer, resident and visitor H&S feedback and using this to ensure that people feel safe and well when engaging with KCGGP and the Estate;
  • Setting targets and objectives for our teams and reviewing performance no less than every 6 months;
  • Managing operations so that all of KCGGP’s legal H&S responsibilities are complied with.
