King’s Cross and DJ AG present new music series

September 2025

London’s go-to destination for FREE music, King’s Cross, is turning up the volume this September with a brand-new collaboration that puts fresh talent centre stage. King’s Cross has partnered with Time Out’s Londoner of the Year, DJ AG, for a month-long celebration of live music, creativity and community.

From 5 September, ‘King’s Cross x DJ AG Present’ will bring a series of pop-up performances to the heart of the city as part of its Sounds of the Riviera campaign. Known for his viral open-platform DJ sets across London, AG will curate a programme of pop-up sets featuring emerging artists who will appear weekly across the estate, inviting visitors to discover exciting new names.

The campaign launches with a headline performance by DJ AG and the unveiling of a bespoke speaker stack installation designed by In:Situ, an architecture and design studio rooted in youth culture. Inspired by the DIY spirit of street music and soundclash culture, the installation will serve as the visual and sonic heartbeat of the programme, hosting performances and community events throughout the opening weekend.

True to DJ AG’s mission to uplift new voices, the programme will also include workshops, talks and panels in collaboration with local schools, charities and creative organisations including Universal Music Group UK - connecting young people to careers in music and design.

Locating London's talent

Over the launch weekend (5–7 September) King’s Cross will host a series of panel talks and workshops designed to inspire young Londoners.

On Friday 5 September, local charity Small Green Shoots, which connects young people to careers in the music and creative industries, will host a panel discussion between 4-5pm which aims to demystify the process of getting a job in these sought after industries. Panellists will include executives from Universal Music Group UK.

On Saturday 6 September, STORE STORE, a design and architecture studio based in King’s Cross, will engage local secondary school students in a speaker making workshop, where they can practice their design, engineering and music making skills all in one place.

DJ AG said: “King’s Cross has been a key location for me in my journey, so it’s great to be going back working with the King’s Cross estate in front of some of the best new creative talent there is in the area. Supporting careers in music and creativity is something that I’m incredibly passionate about, so as well as the public getting a chance to see and hear the freshest talent this September, we’ll be working with industry leading partners to showcase routes into the music industry for local young people."

Chrissy Cullen, Related Argent’s Place Marketing Director for King’s Cross said: "King’s Cross has always been a place of energy and creativity, with its history firmly rooted in club culture and music. We’re proud to be working with DJ AG and supporting his mission to spotlight the next generation of talent and bring music to unexpected places. This fantastic new programme follows the ever-popular King’s Cross Summer Sounds in August, which this year marked a decade of incredible free music across the estate.”
