The King's Cross Group makes three new senior hires

January 2026

The King’s Cross Group has continued the expansion of its senior leadership team with three new appointments in asset management and marketing. These hires reflect an ongoing investment in the Group’s expertise and capacity, positioning the business as it prepares for its next phase of growth.

Vasiliki Arvaniti joins as Portfolio Director, bringing morethan 20 years’ experience in complex asset management and development across office, retail and residential sectors. Currently Head of Asset Management at Derwent London, Vasiliki will focus on driving performance across The King’s Cross Group’s portfolio, ensuring its places evolve and continue to meet the needs of occupiers and visitors.

Jane Macdiarmid joins as Head of Retail Asset Management from Grosvenor, where she was previously Retail Portfolio Director for Belgravia. She brings extensive experience of retail-led urban regeneration projects and will lead the next chapter of the asset management and leasing strategy for the company’s retail portfolio.

Jazmin Beale joins as Marketing Director from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where she was formerly Head of Marketing and Brand, having previously held senior roles at Olympia. She brings a wealth of experience in delivering audience-focused campaigns that shape how places are understood and experienced. Her remit spans marketing, communications and events, with a focus on placemaking and experience-led strategies that attract people from across London, the UK and internationally; building areas’ reputations as leading cultural and workplace destinations.

The trio are joining at a pivotal time for The King’s Cross Group, which last year took over the management of the King’s Cross estate and recently announced it has entered into a new partnership with the North London Foundation Trust to acquire part of the nearby St Pancras Hospital site.

Leo Shapland, CEO of The King’s Cross Group, said: “This is a significant moment for The King’s Cross Group as we invest in the team that will help shape the next phase of the business. Together, these appointments will strengthen our placemaking expertise to deliver world-leading, innovative and inclusive destinations that connect, inspire and deliver for all who interact with them.”

Vasiliki Arvaniti said: “The King’s Cross Group has a remarkable opportunity ahead and I’m excited to be joing at such a crucial time in its journey where I‘ll be focusing on driving this next chapter for King’s Cross. That starts with our commitment to putting customers right at the heart of how we manage our assets, ensuring that the places we create perform for our investors and the people who live, work, socialise and study in them every day.”

Jane Macdiarmid said: “The King’s Cross Group’s retail and leisure offer already sets the business apart. The best places are those that constantly evolve, which is the mindset I’ll bring as we seek out new brands and experiences that surprise people, reflect the energy of our places and make King’s Cross somewhere people don’t just visit – they talkabout.”

Jazmin Beale said: "Places succeed when people feel connection, inspiration and possibility and that’s precisely what I’ll be looking to unlock at The King’s Cross Group as we curate experiences that bring people in, make them want to stay and return time and again.”

These appointments follow the recent addition of Sonal Jain from Workspace, who joins this month as Sustainability and Social Impact Director to further strengthen the Group’s leadership in sustainability and social impact.
