The King’s Cross Group continues to strengthen F&B offer with Din Tai Fung signing

The King’s Cross Group has signed international restaurant group Din Tai Fung for a new 160-cover restaurant at 1 Lewis Cubitt Walk, strengthening the food and beverage offer at King’s Cross as the Group continues to evolve the estate’s retail and leisure mix.

Opening in December 2026, the restaurant will be Din Tai Fung’s fifth London location and will introduce several new elements for the brand in the capital. These include its first dedicated 30-cover alfresco dining space, a community dining room for events and dumpling masterclasses, and an expanded bar offer.

The signing forms part of The King’s Cross Group’s commitment to curating an ever-evolving estate. Across more than 500,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and hospitality space, its focus is on bringing together established international operators and distinctive independents to create a mix that serves the people who use King’s Cross every day, while giving visitors compelling reasons to visit and return.

The arrival of Din Tai Fung will further strengthen the dining offer in the north of the estate, joining restaurants including Bubala, Arabica and Electric Shuffle around Lewis Cubitt Park and Walk.

Founded in Taipei more than 60 years ago, Din Tai Fung now operates more than 180 restaurants internationally. The group first entered theUK in 2018.

At the centre of the new restaurant will be Din Tai Fung’ssignature show kitchen, where diners will be able to see its Xiao Long Bao being made by hand.
